Our Mission

The Waveform Collective strives to create and expand the library of music for percussion and double bass. This initiative serves to nurture and grow an accessible community centered around interdisciplinary collaborations with artists of diverse backgrounds and identities.

Our Story

The Waveform Collective was an idea that was sparked to life at Baylor University. Our goal as a collective is to expand the literature for double bass and percussion through collaborations and commissions from a wide range of disciplines. With the purpose of serving our community through accessible performances, we hope to inspire and curate new ideas to further push the limits of music.

I was blown away when Waveform Collective recently performed at Art Center Waco. These incredibly talented guys are perfecting an intuitive sound experience in which they connect with each other, with their audience, and with their environment. I’m thrilled that they are so early in their careers because that means they have decades of innovation and creativity ahead of them.
